Thank you for your interest in the internship program with the Cheatham Nutrition & Cognition Lab.<\/p>\n

The Cheatham Nutrition & Cognition Lab has mentored many interns since 2009.\u00a0 High school, college, and even graduate level interns have learned about human research through direct interaction with the Cheatham Lab staff and participants.\u00a0 We are willing to establish a formal internship program with your institution such that students like you may receive class credit as part of a semester-long relationship.\u00a0 See below for a list of interns who have spent time with us over the years.\u00a0 As you can see, our interns have come from a variety of schools.<\/p>\n

Faraneh Afzal<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Faraneh is a great addition to the Cheatham Lab.\u00a0 She comes to us from Iran, where she earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in Clinical Psychology and a master\u2019s degree in Psychology.\u00a0 While in school, she gained valuable experience working at an addiction treatment center as well as working with several psychologists, providing general counseling services and counseling to parents of children with diabetes.\u00a0 She is extremely motivated and driven to learn all she can about the methods used in the lab to study brain development in children. Her research interests include cognitive, developmental, educational, and health psychology.\u00a0 In her free time Faraneh enjoys photography, Zumba, and making jewelry.<\/p>\n
