Where did you grow up?
The Bull City- Durham, North Carolina…you know, where Bull Durham was filmed!
What book that you read when you were younger had the biggest impact on your life?
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. For me, the lesson is about how giving to others can bring true happiness.
If you were to choose a completely different career path, what would it be?
A Veterinarian
Where is the best place to eat in the (ex. Kannapolis, Chapel Hill) area?
Forty-Six in Downtown Kannapolis. The Fig and Arugula Salad is to die for!
Where was the best place you have traveled so far?
Thailand- the culture, the food, the scenery, and of course, the people were amazing.
What is your favorite souvenir that you brought back on one of your trips?
A hand-painted wall scroll from China
Where haven’t you traveled that you would want to go?
Bora Bora, Italy, France, India, Morocco
What is your favorite food?
My mother-in-law’s homemade macaroni and cheese
What book/movie/podcast are you currently hooked on?
Podcasts are my new favorite thing to listen to while I run. I am currently listening to One Bad Mom and Serial.
Do you have any pets?
I have two rescue pups, Sadie, a black lab mix, and Charlie, a flat-haired retriever. I also have a gray and white rescue kitty named Chloe.

As a souvenir for having my daughter, I have her umbilical cord in the shape of a heart, displayed in our home.
