Elicited Imitation
Elicited imitation is a low-tech testing method used in the Cheatham Lab.
We have tested the memory of very young children using this method. For example, the children observe as the researcher “creates” a working “toy” and then has the opportunity to demonstrate to the researcher how well they can remember the steps involved in successful completion.
